CIEMAT (Beneficiary)

The Coordinator of CONNECT-NM, CIEMAT (Centre for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research) is a Public Research Organisation mainly focused on the fields of energy and the environment and the technological fields related to both. Its mission is to contribute to sustainable development of Spain and to the quality of life of its citizens through the generation and application of scientific and technological knowledge.

CEA (Beneficiary)

The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development and innovation in four main areas: defence and security, low carbon energies, namely nuclear and renewable energies, technological research for industry, and fundamental research in the physical sciences and life sciences.​

EERA (Beneficiary)

The European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) is a membership-based, non-profit association, constituting the largest low-carbon energy research community in Europe,  bringing together more than 250 organisations from over 30 countries. EERA coordinates its activities through 18 Joint Programmes that provide world-leading scientific expertise on three pillars: low-carbon technologies, materials, and systems’ topics. 

NCBJ (Beneficiary)

The National Research Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) in Poland is one of largest scientific institutes in Central Europe, operating mainly in fields such as physics, nuclear and plasma technologies. The research centre conducts basic and applied research related to nuclear energy and various areas of subatomic physics.

newcleo (Affiliated Entity)

Since launching in 2021, newcleo has quickly established itself as innovator in the field of nuclear energy. newcleo is working to design, build, and operate Gen-IV Advanced Modular Reactors (AMRs) that are cooled by liquid lead and fuelled by reprocessed nuclear waste.

ENEA (Beneficiary)

ENEA is the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, a public body aimed at research, technological innovation and the provision of advanced services to enterprises, public administration and citizens in the sectors of energy, the environment and sustainable economic development.

Fraunhofer (Affiliated Entity)

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, based in Germany, is a leading applied research organisation, playing a crucial role in the innovation process by prioritising research in key future technologies and transferring its research findings to industry in order to strengthen Germany as a hub of industrial activity as well as for the benefit of society.

VTT (Beneficiary)

VTT is one of Europe’s leading research institutions, owned by the Finnish state. It advances the utilisation and commercialisation of research and technology in commerce and society. Through scientific and technological means, the institute turns large global challenges into sustainable growth for businesses and society.
