Project description

ACCELL-NM advances RL2 by developing a reusable and extendable Materials Acceleration Platform (MAP) for innovative nuclear materials, focusing on high-entropy alloys (HEAs) for a lead-cooled fast reactor as a case study. The MAP integrates data driven design, highthroughput alloy fabrication via Laser Directed Energy Deposition (DED-LB), ion irradiation and rapid screening, especially for irradiation and corrosion resistance. Embedded in the Pyiron digital framework and supported by machine learning, the platform accelerates alloy development beyond conventional methods. High-potential candidates will undergo in-depth characterization, the results will provide mechanistic insight and support validation of the developed proxy tests for irradiation and corrosion resistance.
