The European Creep Collaborative Committee (ECCC) is the leading voice of European experts on subjects relating to creep and creep interaction, representing the views of alloy producers, plant manufacturers and end-users.
Building on this, from 18 to 20 May 2026, the 7th International ECCC Creep & Fracture Conference will bring together engineers and scientists from around the world to present and discuss research and developments in all aspects of creep and creep-fatigue interaction behaviour of high temperature industrial materials and components. The overall aim is to disseminate knowledge and identify future work items requiring attention from the high temperature research, design and standardisation communities, and component application.
The ECCC2026 Conference comes at a key point in our use of high temperature materials. Never has there been a greater need to understand the behaviour of materials in assets close to the end of life, under flexible operation conditions, whilst being able to develop and understand newer materials for a 60 year operation in nuclear plant. The conference aims to bring key people in the field to advance these topics, to learn, to explain, to network, and to secure knowledge in this important field.
The event will take place at the Conference Center Hôtel Aquabella, in Aix en Provence (France), close to the CEA Cadarache nuclear site (with a visit to the ITER Tokamak construction site planned).
