Held in Marseille from 13 to 17 October, the Jules Horowitz Reactor Advanced School brought together participants from across Europe and beyond for a rich programme of lectures, study cases and technical visits. The week provided a unique opportunity to deepen expertise in materials under irradiation and to connect early-career professionals with leading experts from the CONNECT-NM and JHR networks.

Applications are now open for the 4th European School on Nuclear Materials Science (ESNMS 2026), taking place in Cargèse, Corsica from 29 March to 4 April 2026. The school offers a full programme on multiscale modelling, advanced characterisation techniques, and all classes of nuclear materials. Organised by CEA and Politecnico di Milano within CONNECT-NM. From August 28 to September 3 2025, the 22nd edition of the International Conference on Fusion Reactor Materials (ICFRM) gathered leading scientists, engineers, and research institutions from around the world to discuss the latest advancements in materials science for nuclear fusion applications.
